Description
Grindelia is sometimes called Gumweed because the buds and flowers are very sticky with a resinous and gummy texture. Grindelia has bright yellow, flowers that have a distinguishing taste and sticky bracts at the base of the flower that curve downward. Grindelia is used as an antiseptic and a bronchial expectorant. It can be useful with coughs, asthma, and bronchial congestion.
